I start with WeChat Ads.

There are 4 steps to open an Ads account on the No. 1 mobile application in China:

Have an official WeChat account (and contrary to popular belief, foreign companies can have an official WeChat account! I’m French, and I have one)
Gather these elements: – company name
– company registration number

– identification number of the administrator’s identity card, passport or driving license

From there, you should have a user number called 服务 号 in Chinese
Then

Opening the WeChat Ads account next costs 99 dollars (so provide a means of payment)
Remember to have your last three months of mobile and landline bills (requested as proof)
You must wait 2 to 3 days for validation of the account by Tencent (group of which WeChat is a part)
Identity card number, mobile and fixed lines, invoices, company registration, etc. that’s a lot of administrative documents to provide, but it is necessary if we want to get to the end of the process.

Why the hell would I do that? Is Wechat so important for SEO or for attracking new clients to a business in China?
